All Ukrainian commanders who led the defence of Azovstal are returning to Ukraine from Turkey, where they were after their release from Russian captivity, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said. “We are returning home from Turkey and taking our heroes home,” the head of state said.
The President noted that Ukrainian soldiers will finally be with their families, namely the acting commander of the 36th Separate Marine Brigade and the initiator of the creation of the Stalevi Foundation Serhiy Volynsky “Volyna”, the commander of “Azov” Denys Prokopenko “Redis”, the deputy commander of “Azov” Svyatoslav Palamar “Kalyna”, major of the National Guard of Ukraine Oleh Khomenko, Colonel of the National Guard of Ukraine Denys Shleha.
